Congratulation to the new owner of the little, unrestored 4hp Marshall Britannia portable steam engine. I returned this engine direct from Chile and she has now found a keen, young owner. I look forward to seeing her back in steam soon.

We are pleased that the boiler from ‘Lindsay’, the 0-6-0ST locomotive manufactured by Wigan Coal & Iron Company Limited has arrived for remedial repairs. I have found these lovely images of the Robey taken by Chris Allen while the engine was at Penrith Steam Museum.

Recently in the boiler workshop is this unique Robey undertype engine. It was supplied new to Hesleyside Hall, a large private country estate in Northumberland.
